DESCRIPTION:MPLX Gathering and Processing presents the Fourteenth Annual Sean Carney’s Blues For A Cure 2025 – Harrison County. A Free Public Concert to be held Friday (6pm start) June 27 and Saturday (4pm start) June 28\, 2025\, at The Mark at The Park stage at Sally Buffalo Park\, 43000 Industrial Park Rd.\, Cadiz\, Ohio. The proceeds benefit WVU Harrison Community Hospital Foundation and the Harrison County Cancer Crusaders. Since inception\, this annual charity concert event has raised over $300\,000 for the local area. Blues For A Cure\, has raised over $450\,000 since Sean Carney started the fund in 2007. This is the fifth year the event is a two-night concert and will be hosted on the newly constructed outdoor stage\, The Mark At The Park. \nCo-Headlining the event are John Nemeth & The Blue Dreamers with BFAC favorite\, IBC finalist and Best Guitarist Award Winner Gabe Stillman and JP Soars’ Gypsy Blue Revue featuring Anne Harris. John Nemeth has received five Blues Music Awards in the categories of Soul Blues Male Artist\, Soul Blues Album\, Traditional Blues Album of the Year and Instrumentalist – Harmonica and his latest release\, “May Be The Last Time” features the legendary Elvin Bishop. Sitting in and sharing Emcee duties will be event namesake\, 2007 IBC Guitar Champion Sean Carney. Always paying tribute to our local talent\, we’re thrilled to feature Electric Mud out of eastern Ohio\, and Jimmy Adler of Pittsburg who will make a guest appearance with JP Soars. \nThis Blues For A Cure concert will serve as the CD Release of Blues Cures 16\, the sixteenth CD in the series of Live Studio Jams with the artists who’ve been a part of our concerts over the years. Among the artists featured on this release along with Sean Carney are Sean Chambers & The Savoy Brown Rhythm Section\, Noah Wotherspoon\, Scotty Bratcher and his band\, Jake Friel and Miss Freddye’s Blues Band. The CDs will be available as a free gift for a minimum $10 donation. \nThis event is BYOB. Food\, water and soda will be available for purchase from on-site food vendors.
